ANDY Preece insists Worcester City will not get carried away with their five-star FA Trophy result.

City won 5-2 at Barrow on Tuesday night with two goals from Mark Danks and one each for Graham Ward, George Clegg and Craig Wilding.

Three of the goals came in a late five-minute spell against the Cumbrian side's 10 men, after Ryan Zico Black was sent off, and Preece knows the score was slightly flattering.

He said: "We never get carried away with performances unless it's merited and we won't get carried away with the result.

"We know that there are things we need to improve on before we play Kettering on Boxing Day and before the next round because we've got some tough, tough games coming up."

However, Preece saw en-ough from his side in the goals department to indicate confidence is high in the City camp.

He said: "We scored some good goals. It was a great finish from Cleggy, it might have taken a slight deflection but it was good technique.

"Graham Ward's goal was again good technique with the free-kick. Although Craig's was a rebound from the penalty, I thought it was a lovely finish.

"The goalkeeper spread himself and he dinked it over him into the net, which shows the confidence Craig's got at the moment, and Danksy scored with two good finishes."

Abderrahman Traore did not travel to Barrow after City agreed to let the French striker return home for Christmas.

A young Worcester City reserves side lost 2-0 at Alvechurch in the Worcestershire Senior Urn second round.
