POOL players from across Worcestershire have put the county on the map by securing a major title for the time in their history.
The Worcestershire men's A' team defeated Oxfordshire 26-18 to win region five of the English Pool Association County Championship.
Shane Surridge's side (pictured), who topped the table ahead of four other counties, now head to Great Yarmouth in March to compete against the six other regional winners for the national title.
The captain said: "It's brilliant. It's never been done before in at least 20 years. "If we can maintain the same attitude and team spirit there's no reason why we shouldn't do well at Great Yarmouth."
