LEDBURY thrower Terry Jenkins crusied into the second round of the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship with a convincing 3-1 triumph over Mark Lawrence at the Circus Tavern in Purfleet.
Jenkins, who is ranked six in the world, took little time to dispose of Lawrence, who is 65th in the world rankings.
In the second round, Jenkins will now face the winner of the match between Steve Beaton and Gerry Convery, which takes place tomorrow (Wednesday)at 7pm. Jenkins' second round clash is at 3.30pm on Friday.
Then, if successful, he will take on the winner of the second round clash between James Wade or Warren French and Lionel Sams or Dave Ladley in the third round on December 28.
Jenkins has enjoyed a memorable 2006, winning the Antwerp Open and the Open Hotel Zwartwater, to earn himself a place in next season's Premier League.
