UPDATE: Kidderminster Harriers manager Steve Burr has decided to stay at Kidderminster Harriers after being interviewed for the Forest Green Rovers job.

KIDDERMINSTER Harriers are still unsure who will take charge of Saturday's FA Cup first round encounter with Sutton United.

Manager Steve Burr has been away from the title-chasing Aggborough outfit since they allowed him to talk to Skrill Premier rivals Forest Green Rovers about their vacancy.

Burr's assistant Gary Whild was in control as Harriers suffered their first defeat in nine games when losing 1-0 at Barnet on Saturday.

The 50-year-old former Macclesfield striker was yesterday due to speak with big-spending Rovers who are led by multi-millionaire chairman Dale Vince and looking to replace the departed Dave Hockaday.

But Harriers have been left in limbo as the Gloucestershire outfit plan further interviews with candidates over the next two days, having already talked to former Wimbledon manager Terry Brown at the weekend.

Ex-Swindon boss Paul Sturrock and John Gregory, who led Aston Villa, are high-profile names linked with the Rovers job although Burr and Brown are experienced operators in the Conference.

Burr is contracted to Harriers until the summer of 2016 but the expected six-figure compensation package would not be a problem for Vince if he does opt for the man who is still believed to be the favourite, according to local reports.

Rovers seem to be in no rush with their next game not until next Tuesday.
