THE first XVs of Worcester’s old rivals King’s School and the Royal Grammar School are set to do battle for the Modus Cup at Sixways Stadium tonight (7pm).
King’s will be looking to retain the trophy for a third successive year following last season’s 15-3 victory and the record winning margin of 34-6 in 2011.
Sponsored by Worcester-based company Modus Creative, the two schools have played for the Modus Cup since 2007 when RGS claimed the inaugural silverware with a 20-12 victory.
The eagerly-anticipated match is always a key date in the local schools rugby calendar and more than 3,000 people usually flock to Sixways, home of Aviva Premiership side Worcester Warriors, to watch the action.
To book your tickets, call King’s School on 01905-721700 or RGS on 01905-613391.
