ADAM Webster could be a surprise inclusion in Worcester City's squad for their FA Trophy test at Barrow on Saturday.
The striker, who has been out with ankle ligament damage since August, has impressed in training this week and manager Andy Preece is ready to recall him.
Although the 26-year-old will not start the first round fixture, Preece has not ruled out the possibility of him coming off the bench.
"Webby came through training really well and we are really pleased with that," Preece said.
"Hopefully, he will have a reserve game on Tuesday and he may be in the squad on Saturday. We have been pleased with what he's done. It's been a long time since he's been back."
Webster will be one of two familiar faces returning to the first-team fold at Barrow with teenager Sam Wedgbury beginning a three-week loan spell from Sheffield United.
George Clegg, suspended for last week's defeat to Leigh RMI, has also boosted Preece's options by making himself available after a family illness.
Danny Hodnett is also back after playing for Evesham United as cover in their 2-0 victory over Bromsgrove Rovers at St George's Lane on Tuesday.
However, City will continue to monitor Chris Smith, struck down with a virus last week, after the defender was due to train tonight for the first time in 10 days.
So Preece has plenty to ponder ahead of the match at Holker Street, where City won 1-0 on the opening day of their Nationwide North campaign in August.
"It won't be an easy game," the manager said. "It wasn't an easy match when we played them in the first fixture of the season.
"It's a difficult place to go and play and they have shown against Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup that they are a good side on their day.
"I haven't seen them get battered by anybody, they have always been close games. We will take nothing for granted."
Preece is also aware of the added importance of the match as victory would swell City's coffers by an extra £4,000.
He added: "It's a key game for us. It's our last chance of bringing money in quickly to the club and if we want to keep the squad together we have to get through this round.
"Whether we do it the first time or need a replay, it doesn't really make a difference. We haven't got another match until the 26th so a replay would not be a disaster."
Barrow defender Stuart Howson and midfielder Michael Stringfellow face late fitness tests.
Defender James Cotterill remains banned after admitting grevious bodily harm against Bristol Rovers striker Sean Rigg.
