WORCESTER City will have Phil Trainer in their squad for tomorrow’s Skrill North trip to Oxford City after his loan deal from Nuneaton Town was extended for another month.
The experienced midfielder, 32, played four games for the Blue and Whites after initially joining in September and will now be at Aggborough until mid-November.
He could also be eligible for City’s FA Cup fourth qualifying round match against Lincoln City next Saturday but that is yet to be confirmed.
Manager Carl Heeley said: “We are glad to keep him, it was a priority because I think we are a a stronger side when he’s available to us. He is with us for another month and it will be reviewed at the end of that period.”
Trainer was denied permission by Skrill Premier Nuneaton to feature against Coventry Sphinx and Rugby Town, but Worcester are keeping their fingers crossed on the situation.
Heeley added: “We are hopeful he will be available for us in the FA Cup.”
