EVESHAM United will be out to upset the form book in their bid for FA Trophy success tomorrow.
The Robins take on Leek Town in the first qualifying round at the Spiers and Hartwell Jubilee Stadium (3pm) with £2,700 at stake for the winners.
Shaun Cunnington’s side are fifth-bottom in Southern League Division One South and West, while Leek are unbeaten at the top of the Northern League Division One South.
Both teams, however, will be looking to bounce back after losing in cup competition this week — Evesham going down 3-1 to Bishops Cleeve in the Red Insure Cup and Leek losing 2-1 to Chasetown in the Staffordshire Senior Cup.
Evesham’s last victory was the 3-1 success against Market Drayton Town in the previous round, which saw goals for Linden Dovey, Carl Brown and Lance Smith.
Since then, they also drew 2-2 with second-placed Swindon Supermarine in the league at the Jubilee Stadium with Nat Lewars on the scoresheet alongside a Jake Johns own goal.
Prior to the Chasetown defeat, Lee Casswell’s side had beaten Goole 3-0.
