HEREFORD United’s injury worries show no signs of easing with Kinglsey James expected to miss tonight’s trip to Macclesfield Town (7.45).

The midfielder has played the last five games since returning to the Bulls side following a hamstring injury but is back on the sidlelines.

He picked up a knee problem in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Skrill Premier leaders Cambridge United and is unlikely to be involved at Moss Rose.

With fellow midfielders Frankie Artus (leg) and Josh O’Keefe (broken arm), as well as striker Michael Rankine (hamstring) still out, manager Martin Foyle is cursing his luck.

He said: “There are a few more headaches and I could have done with a free week.

“Kingsley is going to be struggling with his knee, so it leaves me bare in the middle of the park again.”

Defeat left Hereford 15th in the table but Foyle is remaining upbeat ahead of the Macclesfield clash.

He said: “We’ve run one of my favourites for promotion right to the wire and given them a few problems.

“They scored the early goal, which gave them a boost, and we probably looked a little bit nervy in the first 15 minutes.

“After that, I thought we more than matched them.

“We just need to be brave, pull that trigger and not make a mistake.

“I’m gutted because we lost the game.”

Macclesfield lost 1-0 at Tamworth at the weekend but had previously won three on the spin.
