MANAGER Steve Burr believes the prodigious talent of Joe Lolley can make him a crowd favourite at Kidderminster Harriers.
It hasn’t taken the 20-yearold striker long to find his feet in the Skrill Premier since signing from Midland Combination Premier Division outfit Littleton.
Before last night’s match against Aldershot, he had scored two goals in six games, including a superb individual run and shot in the 2-0 win over Halifax last Tuesday. That effort certainly made people sit up and take note of the player but Burr always had faith in Lolley’s ability and wants him to continue to go from strength to strength.
He said: “I have been very impressed with him. He’s still adjusting to full-time football but the ability was there when we were first watching him and he’s got to keep pushing in the right direction.
“He’s the type of lad who gets people off their seats and if last Tuesday’s goal didn’t get people off their seats, I don’t know what will!
“He’s young and learning the game but he’s got a fresh approach. With all those ingredients he’s got a bright future ahead of him.”
The Harriers boss added: “He was unfortunate when he got in the side against Chester because he picked up a groin injury in training but that’s settled down and he’s back in the side.”
