THERE is a sell-out crowd for tonight’s international netball clash between England and South Africa at Worcester’s University Arena (7.45).
Around 2,000 fans have snapped up tickets for the final fixture in the three-match FIAT International Series which has been taking place this week.
England have already opened up an unassailable 2-0 lead following victories at Wembley Arena on Wednesday and Bath last Sunday.
The host nation recorded a 49-38 success at Bath before a more comfortable 51-33 triumph at Wembley. Both matches were shown live on Sky Sports, as will tonight’s finale at the new £15million Hylton Road venue.
It is the second time netball has been staged at the arena following May’s Superleague Grand Final, which also attracted a capacity crowd.
Hosting such an event is a feather in the cap for the city and comes just a week before Worcester Wolves play their first British Basketball League match at the venue against Leicester Riders next Friday.
