KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have a fifth victory in six games within their sights tonight against Aldershot Town under the gaze of the television cameras at Aggborough (7.45).
Steve Burr’s third-placed side have beaten Welling (2-1), Hyde (2-1), Tamworth (3-0) and Halifax (2-0) this month with the only blip being last Saturday's 3-0 reverse at Dartford.
But the manager felt his players were back to their best against Halifax, highlighted by Joe Lolley’s spectacular second goal, and wants them to add another home win to their collection in a contest screened live by BT Sport.
He said: “I think we got back to everybody working hard as a team rather than playing as individuals like we did against Dartford.
“We have had four wins out of five and hopefully can continue that against Aldershot.
“I really want to see the place rocking because there’s nothing better. It’s great when the crowd gets behind the players, it lifts them.
“We’re going to need the crowd behind us as well because Aldershot are a decent side. I watched them at Hereford a couple of weeks ago and they looked good.
“If it wasn’t for the 10-point deduction they received at the start of the season, they would be right up there.
“I think night games are special atmospheres anyway but this gives the players an opportunity to perform in front of a bigger audience with it being televised.”
Captain Kyle Storer should be fit to return after missing the last two games with a groin problem and midfield colleague Callum Gittings (knee) will be assessed nearer to kick-off.
However, centre-half Chey Dunkley (knee) and midfielders Jack Byrne (ankle) and Jamie Tolley (Achilles) all look set to miss out.
