THERE is still time to nominate the two counties’ sporting stars for a prestigious sports awards programme.
The Sports Partnership Herefordshire and Worcestershire are welcoming potential winners up to the closing date at noon tomorrow.
Award categories include both senior and junior male and female sports people of the year as well as accolades for coach, community club, junior team, disabled sports personality, senior and junior volunteer, unsung hero, community project and newcomer.
Stephen Brewster, director of the partnership, said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the huge amount of nominations we have so far received for the 2013 sports awards and there’s still time.
“We’d therefore like to remind residents they can still put forward those local sports men and women, coaches, volunteers, clubs and officials who have made an impact on sport, young people and local communities.”
Those interested can nominate online at morethan sport.com/sportsawards The sports awards evening is on Thursday, November 14, at Sixways Stadium, Worcester.
