MARTIN Foyle says he won’t rest until he has found the right mix for his Hereford United team.

Following a summer of squad rebuilding at Edgar Street, the Bulls have endured contrasting fortunes in the early stages of the Skrill Premier campaign.

A good start saw them go unbeaten in their first four matches but they head to Halifax today (3pm) on the back of three straight defeats.

Already operating with a small squad, the manager has seen progress hindered by injuries and he has dipped into the loan market to sign Crewe midfielder Michael West and striker Richard Brodie from north east side Gateshead.

Foyle is still searching for the perfect formula when it comes to getting results, particularly up front, even though he can’t fault the effort of his players.

He said: “There are a lot of new partnerships out there and we have chopped and changed a little bit but I have said to the players that I will keep chopping until I get it right.

“That’s my job — it may be a little frustrating at times but it’s up to me to make sure that there is a good side out on that pitch which is collectively working together as a unit and not individually.

“The fans can see that the commitment is there, we’ve just got to find the right quality.”
