ASTWOOD Bank were crowned Worcestershire League Division One champions with a six-wicket victory over Belbroughton.
They now progress to the Birmingham and District Premier League in place of Evesham and Worcester Nomads who return after 10 and one seasons respectively.
Belbroughton’s 197-9 in 50 overs was not enough as Bank won thanks to 123 not out from Aussie Vince Valente.
Second-placed Bromyard’s 24-point win at home to fifth-placed Redditch was not enough as they paid for a poor start to the campaign.
Pershore can only chase them for runners-up spot despite a comprehensive victory over Worcester Dominies.
Hagley beat Droitwich but the five bonus points gained by Spa were enough to keep them up after Burghill and Tillington’s defeat at Pedmore.
Worcester thrashed Oldswinford by 257 runs with 126no from Michael Grafton.
In Division Two, Enville hammered Bewdley with Ben Shorter taking 10-27 in 14.4 overs.
Meanwhile, Brockhampton clinched the Birmingham League Premier Division runners-up trophy with a 45-run win over Kidderminster Victoria who were dismissed for 181 in reply to 226-7.
Ombersley are safe in Division One following an eight-wicket success over county rivals Barnards Green who were all out for 127.
Alex Hepburn top scored with 45 but Brett D’Oliveira’s 4-15 undermined the rest of the innings before 59no from Liam Gwynne and 34 by Nick Hammond eased Ombersley home.
Old Elizabethans moved within five points of second-placed Harborne in Division Two.
Atiq ur-Rehman hit 63 in opponents Eastnor’s total of 191 but an unbeaten 114 from Liam Ridings and 44 by Jonathan Miles kept OEs in the hunt.
