EVESHAM United hope their FA Cup success can inspire them to a first league victory of the season at Paulton Rovers tomorrow (3pm).
The Robins have failed to win any of their four Calor Southern League Division One South and West matches this term and are in the bottom three with just two points.
However, Shaun Cunnington’s men defeated Midland Combination Premier Division side Bolehall Swifts 2-1 in the FA Cup preliminary round last Saturday with goals from Carl Brown and Marcus Palmer.
As well as swelling their bank balance by £1,925 and setting up a clash with Stourbridge, it could be the catalyst for better league results.
High-flying Paulton from Somerset have won three games in climbing to second in the early standings, scoring 16 goals on the way.
Evesham are without midfielder Neil Barnfield who is serving a three-match ban for a red card picked up in the opening-day 4-4 draw with Taunton Town.
