DRESSING room cameras and interviews with coaches during matches are two of the on-screen innovations to be introduced by BT Sport into the Aviva Premiership this season.

A six-month consultation with the 12 top-flight clubs has resulted in a series of developments being sanctioned in an attempt to further engage with supporters.

Others include a pre-match pitch walk that will see players interviewed during their warm-up and the addition of kicking tee and line-out cameras.

BT Sport have an exclusive four-year contract with Premiership Rugby worth up to £152million and will be showing the Worcester Warriors match at Leicester Tigers on Sunday, September 8.

All Premiership games in the forthcoming season will also have a television match official.

“We are trying to bring Premiership fans closer to the game and increase the number of people who watch club rugby in England,” said Premiership Rugby chief executive Mark McCafferty.

“As a league we pride ourselves on being innovative and progressive and we believe the coverage of the Premiership will be compelling and supportive of the values of club rugby.”

Meanwhile, with the new season just over a week away, Warriors are offering fans the chance to take advantage of a new ticket deal.
