TOM Kohler-Cadmore has been promoted to the top of the Worcestershire order for today’s match against Bangladesh ‘A’ at New Road (10.45am).
The 18-year-old, who this summer signed a three-year deal with the County, has been handed his chance to impress against the tourists.
Kohler-Cadmore spent four years at Malvern College where he became their record run-scorer, amassing 1,409 in his final season.
The County will be able to use today’s match to work on their one-day skills after lacklustre campaigns in the limited-overs competitions this term.
Director of cricket Steve Rhodes admitted: “We would like to start better with the ball in one-day cricket.
“Against Kent, we basically gifted them a 150-run opening partnership and, after that, we were always trying to play catch-up and keep up with the run-rate.
“We got 250 which was a good effort, but we’d given ourselves too much to do.”
Worcestershire: Kohler-Cadmore, Mitchell, Kervezee, Fell, Whiteley, Leach, Cox, D’Oliveira, Choudhry, Morris, Cessford.
