KIDDERMINSTER Harriers could be in the market for a striker after Ryan Rowe returned to Stourbridge on loan.
The 25-year-old, who left the Glassboys for Aggborough in February 2012, has agreed a season-long loan deal with the Calor Southern League Premier Division club.
Harriers, who made the goal-getter available last week, have the option of recalling him during the January transfer window.
Rowe was a prolific marksman during his first stint at the War Memorial Ground, scoring 73 goals in 146 games before moving to Kidderminster, but has been unable to replicate that form in the Skrill Premier.
His departure leaves Harriers with first-choice strikers Michael Gash and Anthony Malbon as well as inexperienced duo Joe Lolley and Nathan Blissett.
Manager Steve Burr may look to replace Rowe, who also attracted interest from Skrill North outfit Brackley Town, in order to boost his attacking options.
He is also looking for his current crop to be more clinical in front of goal at Braintree tomorrow (3pm).
After beating Gateshead 3-1 in last Saturday’s opener, Harriers went down by the same scoreline at Alfreton on Tuesday.
Kyle Storer struck their consolation after the visitors squandered plenty of opportunities to earn something from the game.
Burr, whose side drew 1-1 at Cressing Road last season, said: “I am pleased with how the team are playing.
“It’s disappointing when you lose but I can’t get too disappointed about the way we are playing.
“I would like to think if we create the same number of chances at Braintree we will score goals and that was the only thing missing on Tuesday.”
Harriers have no fresh injury concerns after centre-half Josh Gowling played against Alfreton with a suspected broken nose.
