MANAGER Martin Foyle will be looking for a marked improvement from his Hereford United side when they make the trip to newly-promoted Chester tonight (7.45).

The Bulls boss labelled his players’ performance as not good enough in last Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Braintree Town, in which summer signing Dan Walker rescued a point at Edgar Street.

Foyle was disappointed with his side’s organisation and felt some players strayed from the game-plan in the Skrill Premier opener.

But United emerged unbeaten and will be out to inflict a second defeat of the campaign on Chester, promoted to non-league’s top-flight as Conference North champions last season.

Neil Young’s men were given a rude awakening last Saturday with a 3-0 reverse at Barnet but will be determined to address that in front of their own fans at the Deva Stadium.

“I’ve seen Chester and they were too good for the Conference North last year, but we have got to have a little look at the way we play,” Foyle said.

Given the manager’s comments in the wake of failing to beat Braintree, there could some changes made for tonight’s match.

Striker Chris Sharp and former Kidderminster Harriers winger Danny Pilkington both came off the bench in the second-half at the weekend, for Rob Purdie and Sam Smith respectively, and would be prime candidates to start.

Ex-Chester centre-half Dominic Collins could also be involved against his old club.
