JACK Shantry took 7-60 as Worcesterhire beat Oxford MCCU by 130 runs in The Parks.

Worcestershire had resumed their second innings on 80-0 yesterday but Alexei Kervezee failed to add to his overnight 47 before being dismissed. Neil Pinner went on to make 80 including 11 fours and a six as the County declared on 210-2 with wicketkeeper Ben Cox unbeaten on 52.

This left Oxford MCCU with the unlikely target of scoring 339 for victory and they were soon in trouble.

Sam Argarwal fell without a run on the board and two wickets fell at 48 and two more on 124 as seam bowler Shantry worked his way through the Oxford order in their 208 all out.
