WICKETKEEPER Ben Cox claimed seven catches in the innings as Worcestershire bowled Oxford MCCU out for 220 on day two of the three-day game at The Parks.
The hosts resumed on 14-0 in reply to the County’s 348-4 declared and paceman Richard Jones (5-45) was soon among the wickets, while Wilf Marriott (81) provided the backbone of the students’ innings.
Jack Shantry, Graeme Cessford, Shaaiq Choudhry, Chris Russell and Joe Leach claimed a wicket each as all of the New Road side’s bowlers enjoyed success with the ball to give their side a lead of 128.
At the close of the second day, County had reached 80-0 to increase their advantage to 208.
