WORCESTER Wanderers will be hoping for further cause to celebrate when they host local rivals Malvern in the North Midlands Cup semi-final tomorrow (3pm).
The Sixways side secured promotion to the National Leagues last weekend with a Midlands One play-off victory over Ilkeston.
Malvern have had a contrasting season, suffering relegation from National Three South West, so there will be plenty on the line at a ground that has been dubbed ‘the Wandererdome’ by the Worcester side.
Wanderers head coach Tom Ryder said: “After the amazing game and our promotion last week, we are again looking forward to a big game.
“I am sure the mixed fortunes of the two teams this season will be forgotten as both sets of boys know each other and will look forward to a full-intensity fixture.
“We try and play a pretty open game and promote lots of play out of contact, but need to get the balance right and make sure we are prepared to put in a defensive effort to match that of last week.”
