JACOB Rowe wants to see Worcester City continue their recent run of good form and make a strong finish to the season.
Last Tuesday’s 1-0 victory at Bishop’s Stortford was their third triumph in four matches, including two in a row for only the second time this term, and once again has them looking up the table rather than down.
With just today’s trip to Brackley Town (3pm) to come before the visit of champions Chester for the final game at St George’s Lane next week, City are keen to end on a high.
Centre-half Rowe, back in the team following eight games out with a knee injury, said: “It’s one of the first times we’ve got back-to-back results so it’s always pleasing, it’s a shame it’s come later on in the season.
“I think we looked solid throughout the team and dangerous going forward so I think it was a justified result at Bishop’s Stortford.
“Hopefully we can take the confidence we’ve got from these games, go and get a result at Brackley and do ourselves justice.”
Rowe, who has started 30 games this season, came through two games in three days without any reaction to the tendonitis that had kept him out since the 1-0 defeat to Guiseley on February 23.
The former Birmingham City trainee, now 22, said: “It’s been frustrating so it’s good to get back in the mix. Hopefully I can enjoy the next two games of the season if I get selected. The knee feels a lot better, I got it injected a couple of weeks ago and I have been doing my strengthening to get myself back on the pitch. Hopefully it will be fine for the next two games.”
