DEAN Ryan has been confirmed as the new director of rugby at Worcester Warriors.
The announcement comes hours after the Sixways club confirmed the departure of head coach Richard Hill on Tuesday night after a day of denying the move, as exclusively revealed by your Worcester News.
Ryan spent four successful years as head coach at rivals Gloucester Rugby from 2005 to 2009, before taking up a temporary role with Scotland during the Six Nations.
He will take up the position after the Warriors' final game of the season against relegated London Welsh.
During his playing career, the 46-year-old was a combative back rower playing for Saracens, Wasps, Newscastle and Bristol, winning six England caps.
What do you think of the appointment? Is Dean Ryan the right man to take Worcester forward? Or is it the wrong move for the Sixways club?
