WCT Raiders have won the Worcester Nursing Sunday Junior Cup after a dramatic 4-3 penalty shoot-out against Upton Snodsbury.
Jamie Insall gave WCT the lead from the penalty spot before Dane Aldington equalised for Upton.
A Chris Cornes free-kick put Raiders ahead again but a late strike from Jake Saunders sent the match into extra-time.
WCT had to play this period without Brad Birch who received a straight red card but two brilliant saves from goalkeeper Richie Vernon in the shoot-out secured the trophy for his team.
In the Nursing Minor Cup semi-finals, a single strike from Dan Baker gave Northside victory over Worcester Raiders and they will play Oak Apple in the final.
Heenans are through to the Worcester League’s Katherine Rayer Cup semi-finals where they will play Arrow 2000 after demolishing Callow End 6-0. George Martin cracked a hat-trick for the victors.
In the Sunday Premier Division, Mark Owen grabbed the only goal of the game as Martley Spurs won at Perrywood.
Malvern Radar recorded their 13th successive win at the top of Division One, Louis Loader hitting a hat-trick in a 7-1 romp at St John’s. Meanwhile a Chris White strike gave Hallow Village victory over New Barbourne.
Goals from Ashley Banner and Tom Baker sent Oak Apple back to the top of Division Two as they beat Hornets 2-0, while Simon Hill notched a hat-trick for West Midland who crushed Malvern Rangers 5-0.
Malvern Victoria paid the penalty for fielding an under-strength side as they crashed 15-0 at Division Three leaders The Bell. Damon Groves found the net six times for the winners with a further five goals coming from Dan Westwood. Elsewhere, Dave Murray scored twice for GDL Athletic who beat VBL Sports 5-2 and goals from Alex Mann, Richard Crowe and Gordy Beauchamp gave Claines a 3-0 victory at Nunnery Wood.
Old Vigornians lost 3-2 at home to the University of Worcester, Glen Mandry bagging two for OVs, Calum Pawsey doing likewise for the students.
In Division Four, an amazing score-line at Powick Reserves saw the home team defeat CSSC 6-4. Stuart Hart, Stuart Harvey and Sean Smith all netted twice for Powick as did Mike Jeffries for CSSC. A brace from James Allen helped Pillar of Salt Korono to a 5-1 success against Cavalier Sports.
In the Saturday League, Worcester Raiders moved a step nearer to the Division One title after Richard Smith netted a double in their 5-2 win at Newtown Sports. Brad Morton bagged a brace for Newtown.
Foregate blew the Division Two title race wide open with a stunning 6-2 win at favourites Worcester Anchors. Sam Jones scored twice for Foregate, Simon Hill doing likewise for Anchors.
Malvern Hills are also chasing the crown, Matt MacIntosh firing a treble as they beat Sylla 4-1.
