WORCESTER Wolves head to Plymouth Raiders tonight (7.30) looking for their second British Basketball League triumph over the Devonians in a week.

Paul James’ side produced a commanding performance in despatching the Raiders 89-69 at the University of Worcester last Friday.

Victory at the Plymouth Pavilions would secure Wolves, who lost 87-65 on their last visit to the venue in December, the head-to-head record ahead of the play-offs, which start next weekend.

Director of basketball James said: “The head-to-head is on the line. They have had their injury problems this year just like we have but it will be great to go down there and try and get that victory.

“Everybody is fit and we’re going to be working as hard as we can in practice to try and get back whatever spark that has been missing.”

With the campaign approaching its climax, James is continuing to talk to players about new deals for next season.

Although no decisions have been taken, some players are coming to the end of their university courses, which could lead to changes.

The Worcester chief said: “Carlos Fernandez, Arnas Kazlauskas and Stan Ocitti are probably unlikely to be back because their degrees and masters will have finished and we will look to refresh the team from there.”
