MANAGER Paul West says there must be a marked improvement from his players if they want to be at Evesham United next season.
The Robins lost 3-0 at lowly Bishops Cleeve on Easter Monday for their fourth consecutive defeat and have slipped down Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West.
West, whose side host North Leigh tomorrow (3pm), is unhappy with the attitude of some players and expects better with squad places up for grabs for next season.
He will hand a chance to the club’s under 18s in a bid to salvage some pride.
“The last few games have been very poor,” he said.
“As the manager, I take responsibility but far too many of the players have been below-par in the last few games.
“It’s been disappointing but we have to deal with it. We have to work with what we have got and get through to the end of the season.
“They are playing for their futures but the jury is out on a few at the moment. You need full-on commitment and too many have gone missing when the chips are down and I won’t accept that.
“I will be looking at some of the under 18s in the next few games.”
Evesham have centre-half Chris Jackson available despite his red card in the defeat at Bishops Cleeve.
