WORCESTER Wolves make the long trek to Glasgow Rocks tomorrow (5pm) aiming to steal a march on their British Basketball League play-off rivals.
With the sides having shared the two meetings to date, a potentially crucial advantage is on the line at the Emirates Arena under the gaze of the Sky Sports cameras.
Head-to-head records come into play if teams are level on points and with Wolves and Rocks closely matched in the table, victory could make the difference when it comes to play-off seedings. Wolves won the latest match 83-70 at the University of Worcester in December but Glasgow triumphed 85-79-on their own court in November.
Worcester head coach Paul James is expecting a tough battle against his Scottish counterparts.
He said: “The Rocks are a good well-balanced team. They play hard every time they step on the court. EJ Harrison and Sterling Davis are the leaders, but they have some talented players around them.
Rocks player-coach Sterling Davis added: ”The Wolves probably have the biggest team in the league. They are very dangerous in their style of play and if they are clicking, they can be extremely hard to beat.”
n Tomorrow’s match will be shown on Sky Sports 3 at 7pm this Tuesday.
