WORCESTER Warriors have signed lock forward Mike Williams.
A powerful ball-carrier and superb line-out technician, Williams captained the Sharks at age-group level in South Africa before deciding to further his career with Tuks and the Pretoria-based Blue Bulls.
The 21-year-old, born in Bulawayo but English qualified, stands 6ft 5in tall, weighs 17st 9lbs and can operate in the second row or back row.
Williams, who has enjoyed an outstanding 2013 Varsity Cup campaign in South Africa with Tuks – winning man of the match in the semi-final against UJ – will move to England this summer on a two-year deal.
