KIDDERMINSTER Harriers will be looking to strengthen their grip on the Blue Square Bet Premier top spot when they host Woking tonight (7.45).
Steve Burr’s side won for the fourth game running last Saturday, 3-1 at Southport, to open up a three-point cushion at the summit of non-league’s top flight.
Although second-placed Mansfield have three games in hand after having their home match against Macclesfield called off at the weekend, Harriers have the points on the board.
They also know that Mansfield have to face FA Trophy winners Wrexham twice between now and the end of the season.
With that in mind, picking up three points against 11th-placed Woking at Aggborough will keep the pressure on the Stags.
Harriers, who are currently on 77 points, also only need nine more to be mathematically assured of a play-off spot but that would mean teams below them having to win all their matches.
Burr has a fully-fit squad to choose from after everyone came through the Southport victory unscathed.
Striker Michael Gash, on loan from Cambridge United, was again on target against the Sandgrounders as he took his tally to five goals in four games.
Midfielder Jack Byrne is back in light training having been out since August with a ruptured Achilles.
- Evesham United’s match against Cinderford Town, postponed last Saturday due to the weather, will now take place at the Jubilee Stadium on Tuesday, April 16 (7.45pm).
