WORCESTER City’s board of directors have given manager Carl Heeley their unanimous support.
Heeley has had his position questioned following seven straight defeats in Blue Square Bet North, the club’s worst run for three decades.
However, the former City centre-half, who had turned the St George’s Lane side from relegation fodder into potential play-off hopefuls before recent results, has received the backing of fans and now the board have followed suit.
They met on Thursday to discuss the current slump in form, which has coincided with the release of the club’s £100 season ticket offer ahead of next season’s ground-sharing move to Kidderminster Harriers.
A statement said: “The board are keen to see out the last period at the Lane with dignity and pride and will do their utmost to ensure this happens.
“The manager is an integral member in the club’s plans and valued for what he has achieved this season so far.
“The board remain unanimous in their support for the manager and his efforts to get the best performance from his players."
