WORCESTER Wolves will be hoping to use the University of Worcester’s third British Universities and Colleges Sport title in a row to inspire them to a ninth consecutive British Basketball League victory.
Head coach Paul James takes his Wolves side to Sheffield Sharks tonight (7.30) just hours after guiding the university team to a 71-62 BUCS triumph against Leeds Metropolitan Carnegie.
Several of the Wolves players who study at the university were part of that side and will be confident ahead of the Sharks clash.
Wolves have been sweeping all before them in recent weeks, culminating in a 121-90 thrashing of Cheshire Phoenix 12 days ago.
It has lifted them to fourth in the table although they are just two points behind third-placed Glasgow Rocks and have a game in hand.
They have beaten Sheffield twice this season but the Sharks are the reigning BBL Trophy champions and have won nine of their last 12 games.
