FOLLOWING hot on the heels of George Osborne’s budget announcement, Charlie Little has revealed the contents of his Sixways red briefcase and the headline news is a price freeze on Warriors season tickets.
That means a full season of Aviva Premiership, European and Anglo-Welsh Cup can be secured for £215 for adults and £130 for juniors.
As well as freezing their prices, Worcester have introduced for the first time a direct debit scheme offering payments to be spread over the rest of 2013.
The club have also launched an ‘Introduce a Friend and Save’ scheme and will also be continuing their ‘Under 10s go free’ campaign.
Chairman Cecil Duckworth said: “Buying a season ticket represents the best value for money when watching the Warriors and we are encouraging our loyal fans to once again commit to the club and join us for another year of exciting rugby.
“Our season ticket holders remain our most crucial signing and the importance of that loyalty is reflected as we have frozen our prices and looked to introduce even easier ways to pay.
“We have been in dialogue with our fans, understand the difficult economic climate and that is why we believe the introduction of the new monthly payment scheme will make a big difference.”
Duckworth added: “We are excited by next season and I hope fans share that enthusiasm.
“We believe that we will have an even stronger squad of players.
“We have already made pivotal signings with three Argentinian internationals joining us in back row Leonardo Senatore, fly-half Ignacio Mieres and hooker Agustin Creevy, as well as Heineken Cup-winning fly-half Paul Warwick and props Ofa Fainga’anuku and Paul Andrew.
“Our fans have made Sixways a very special place on match days — the atmosphere that is created is fantastic.
“Make no mistake, coming to Sixways is feared by all our opponents and we’re looking forward to having the continued support of our loyal season ticket holders.”
