STAN Ocitti and Kai Williams have both powered their way into the British Basketball League team-of-the-week.
The Worcester Wolves forwards were in scintillating form in the victories over London Lions (94-76) and Chesire Phoenix (121-90).
Ocitti rampaged through the Lions’ defence last Friday to notch 23 points as well as hauling down an impressive 19 rebounds. He also grabbed another 10 rebounds and floated in an imperious six three-point baskets amid a personal 27-point tally against Cheshire.
Williams, making his first appearance in the league’s elite group, sunk 29 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the Phoenix triumph as he returned to haunt his former employers.
Wolves director of basketball Paul James said: “Alongside Alex Owumi, Stan has been probably our most consistent performer all season. He’s always there with around 15-16 points and 10 or 11 rebounds.
“He’s been a tremendous asset and is thoroughly deserving of this accolade.”
He added: “Kai had a tremendous game against Cheshire. He had already hit 20 points by half-time and he really showcased his game. I’m delighted for him.”
The pair are joined in the team-of-the-week by former Worcester forward Sam Cricelli and Surrey Heat colleague Travis Holmes and Sheffield Sharks star BJ Holmes.
Worcester’s Lithuanian centre Arturas Masiulis has also been named among the seven replacements.
