WORCESTER City boss Carl Heeley says he has had no contact from Telford United regarding their manager’s job.
Speculation has been rife among fans on internet forums linking Heeley, and assistant Matt Gardiner, to the relegation-threatened Blue Square Bet Premier side.
However, the rumours came as a surprise to Heeley who is concentrating on turning around City’s fortunes following five defeats in a row.
The St George’s Lane club’s board are also unaware of any approach for their manager from their Shropshire rivals.
Telford have just appointed coach John Psaras, their fourth manager in a matter of weeks, until the end of the season following the departure of former Worcester midfielder Graham Hyde after two games in charge.
Hyde had previously taken over from Mark Cooper who left the club to become assistant to Kevin MacDonald at Swindon Town a month after replacing Andy Sinton at the New Bucks Head.
Telford’s managerial merry-go-round looks set to continue in the summer with Psaras only the interim boss. He is being assisted by Alex Meechan.
