EVESHAM United chase a third successive victory when they host Shortwood United tomorrow (3pm).
The Robins won 1-0 at Didcot Town last Saturday and beat Wimborne Town 3-0 at the Spiers and Hartwell Jubilee Stadium on Tuesday.
Their first back-to-back triumphs since August were dedicated by manager Paul West to late ex-chairman Stuart Reeves and ex-player Neil Emms.
The Wimborne game was played on the day of Reeves’ funeral and the scoreline was the same as when November’s original fixture, which started with a minute’s silence in memory of Emms, was abandoned due to floodlight failure.
West wants to continue his team’s run against a Shortwood side just above them in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West.
He said: “Getting back-to-back wins was very important because the players’ hard work is paying off. They are starting to believe in themselves a bit more.”
Evesham have signed 13-goal Bromsgrove Sporting striker Chris Conway, a former Aston Villa youngster.
