PAUL James has been named British Basketball League coach of the month following six wins in a row during February with Worcester Wolves.
Wolves won five times in the Championship throughout the month as well as reaching the BBL Trophy semi-finals.
It is the first time a Worcester coach has won the honour but James has been quick to praise his players fro their part in the success.
He said: “I’m delighted about the award. We’ve got the team playing well at the right time.
“It’s been a tough slog, but we now seem to be getting all the right pieces in the right places.
“It’s a great award for me, but the credit must go to the players for allowing the club to receive such a fabulous accolade.”
Meanwhile, Wolves duo Carlos Fernandez and Kai Williams were both named on the bench in the latest BBL team of the week.
Their efforts came after Worcester defeated Surrey Heat 99-81 and Durham Wildcats 83-79 in the space of 48 hours last weekend.
