NO arrests have been made yet after a man was found with head injuries near the city centre over the weekend.
A man believed to be in his 30s was taken to hospital after he was found with head injuries at the corner of Sidbury and Wylds Lane at around 5.40am on Saturday morning (February 11).
There was a police cordon established nearby around a bench on Commandery Road.
Blood stains were seen underneath the bench, which had been surrounded with blue police tape. An officer was stationed there just before 10.30am.
Police confirmed the cordon was connected to the discovery of the injured man nearby.

The injured man was wearing a yellow high-visibility coat and it is still unclear how he came to suffer his injuries.
West Mercia Police appealed for witnesses and said they would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have seen anything suspicious.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Can you help after man in Worcester found with head injury?
"At around 5.45am Saturday 11 February a man in his 30s was found with a head injury at the corner of Sidbury and Wylds Lane in Worcester."
