ONE of Worcester’s most popular family entertainment venues has been given a new look.
The Worcester Bowl has had £75,000 put into improvements by its owners to give it a fresher and more modern look.
Managing director Pete Terry explained: “We have owned the site since February 2019 and we wanted to make bowling fun again.
"A lot of the decor was quite old fashioned, so we have invested in disco lights and more modern decorations.
"At the bottom of everything, we want to make it a fun place to come with the kids on a Saturday.
"We have also introduced lane service so you can just come in, order through the app and be taken care of.”
Worcester Bowl in Bromyard Road was taken over by Disco Bowl in February 2019 after the collapse of the MFA Bowl UK chain.
Mr Terry added: “The first lockdown saw us closed for 5 months, and this time the centre hasn’t traded since December.
"That’s 6 months of closure with all the bills still to pay. We are however delighted that we have been able to retain all our staff and now we look forward to a great summer of fun and bowling.”
In addition, there is now a DJ to help provide a disco feel to the Saturday night entertainment.
