A BRANCH of the RSPCA that covers Droitwich Spa is holding a photographic competition to raise funds for a new rescue centre.
The RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire branch is inviting people over ten years of age to take part by photographing their family pets. Entry fees cost £1 for class one, which is for those under the age of 18, and £2 for adults in class two. Prizes will be awarded for the first three places in each class.
The competition runs until April 30 and the winning entries will be decided on May 15 at the branch’s annual general meeting at Worcester Baptist Church Hall, Sansome Walk, Worcester.
Honorary branch secretary, Pamela Booker, said: "We are desperate for funds to build our animal rescue centre. We now have planning permission to build the centre at Broomhall, near Worcester, but we need to raise the money to get things started. The family pet photo competition is just one way in which we hope to do just that during this year."
Entry forms can be downloaded from the branch’s website at rspca-worcester.co.uk
