WORCESTERSHIRE’S countywide business network is toasting its success – albeit with mugs – as it marks its second birthday.

Membership has now topped 3,900 and more than £79 million of contracts have been promoted to local businesses since its launch in February 2011.

Finditinworcestershire was originally developed by Worcestershire County Council and aims to boost the county's economy by giving local businesses the support and contacts they need to pitch for, and win, more and bigger contracts and also to match-make buyers and suppliers. The free to join network aims to increase the amount of business placed locally.

At the event which marked Findits’ second anniversary, Kathryn Wagstaff, project manager of Finditinworcestershire, presented Keith Istead, of Worcester’s PSG events, with a certificate of recognition for the company's support for Findit-inworcestershire.

PSG events provided the audio facilities for the majority of its breakfast meeting, including all of the equipment and professional technicians.

Ms Wagstaff said: “We help Worcestershire businesses to win more work from major buyers all year round. Whether it’s making new contacts during our networking sessions, meeting purchasers at ‘meet the buyer’ events or being alerted to new contracts on our website, county companies can find business opportunities with Finditinworcestershire.”

Details of future breakfast meetings can be found on finditinworcestershire.com where companies that aren’t already registered can sign up for free.
