YOUNG entrepreneurs will be given the chance to test their retail skills at an event in Wychbold.
Pupils from schools across the region will be setting up pitches at the Young Enterprise annual trade fair at Webbs Garden Centre on Saturday, March 9.
The event, run by the UK’s largest enterprise education charity, will give students the opportunity to display and sell their wares to the public from 10am to 4pm. They will be selling a range of products including handmade planters, recycled household goods, cookery books, hand-decorated aprons and jewellery.
They will also be judged by chairman of Webbs Garden Centre, Ed Webb, and experienced sales managers from Cotswold and HobbyCraft.
Ed Webb said: “ We are delighted to give our young local business entrepreneurs the arena to showcase their talents. We wish them a very successful day."
Julia Neale, Young Enterprise manager for the area said: “Naturally all the students participating are hoping to sell as much as they can but the objectives behind Young Enterprise is much broader than financial success. It’s really about equipping our young people with transferable skills that will be useful to them in later life.”
