THREE burglaries took place on the same night in Claines.
Police are appealing for information from the public after the incidents occurred sometime between 4pm and 11.45pm on Friday, March 1.
In all three burglaries – two in Cornmeadow Lane and the other on Cope Road – it appears that thieves broke into the properties by smashing windows or doors at the rear to gain access.
Once inside each property the thieves then carried out thorough searches before stealing jewellery and cash and making their escape.
At this stage the exact value of the jewellery and cash stolen is not known.
Speaking about the break-ins, detective sergeant Dave Knight said: “Three burglaries in such a small area is extremely unusual and we are very keen to hear from anyone who believes they saw anything or anyone suspicious in Claines.
“We are obviously looking at the possibility that the same individual or individuals are responsible for all three burglaries and therefore every possible forensic opportunity is being examined at the three locations.
“Anyone who believes they may have information that could aid our investigation is asked to call West Mercia Police as soon as possible on 101 or 0300 333 3000, quoting incident number 747S 010313.
“Alternatively, please remember that Crimestoppers can also be called anonymously on 0800 555 111 if you’d rather leave information without identifying yourself.”
