LESBIAN, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people are being urged to consider adoption and fostering in Worcestershire.
The second annual LGBT Adoption and Fostering Week runs from today until Sunday, March 10 and is organised by New Family Social, a charity run by LGBT adopters and foster carers for families and families-to-be.
Worcestershire County Council Adoption and Fostering Services are joining together to celebrate the campaign at a drop-in event at The Hive, in Sawmill Walk, being held on Saturday.
This aims to raise awareness of the processes involved in fostering and adoption, and also provides an opportunity to meet other LGBT families who have fostered or adopted.
More information can be found at worcestershire.gov.uk/adoption&fostering or request an information pack by calling 0800 633 5442 (adoption) or 0800 028 2158 (fostering).
