Sir – Re Mr [Robbie] Porter’s letter ‘Worthy candidates will stop the BNP’ (Worcester News, May 25).

At a parish council meeting the councillors discuss with the public how to deal with local matters.

Everyone can contribute ideas on how to deal with parish matters, politics doesn’t enter into it. Only common sense is used.

It’s a pity our parliament can’t function in a similar way to deal with Britain’s problems as easily and quickly.

With regard to Mr Porter’s comment about the British National Party being racist – for 28 years nobody worried about our constitution until we started to gain power.

People have tried to convict us and the Government lost the last case against us. It will have to pay the British National Party upwards of £150,000 because we have broken no laws.
