Sir – I found your front page story ‘Did dogs case cost £26,000?’ (Worcester News, May 25) very interesting.
The thing that surprised me was that it cost more to house a dog for a week than the amount of money an old age pensioner receives to look after themselves.
Is this because we are a country of animal lovers or does society consider animals to me more use than pensioners?
Or is it because the state pension is insufficient?
