SIR – Now that the Alternative Vote (AV) referendum is out of the way, the results showed it wasn’t really necessary.
It was a grubby deal between David Cameron and Nick Clegg just to get their knees under the cabinet table and Clegg sold his policies for a few red boxes and a chauffeurdriven car. Was it worth it? I don’t think so.
Also, neither of them has been given a mandate to mess about with the health service. After a couple of stays in hospital I had the best of care and was well looked after.
The health service is not broken, so leave it alone.
