SIR - I was pleased to read that correspondent Janet Cook described my letter regarding a wallaby bounding through the streets of Worcester as a "breath of fresh air - absolutely priceless."

However, her further comments suggest that she thought my letter either a joke, or one written from the figment of imagination of somebody influenced by alcohol or drugs.

The letters was a factual one about a quite extraordinary incident. One man who witnessed it was amazed and two young girls at the scene were in hysterics! I am surprised that there hasn't been more communication to your newspapers regarding this - I am intrigued to know where this animal came from, and what eventually happened to it.

DERRICK OLIVER,
