SIR - After reading the article in your paper about Worcestershire County Council introducing congestion charges for the city centre I was enraged.
Who the hell does this council think it is, telling us what they are doing with our city. We, the general public, don't vote councillors in and pay their wages just to be dictated to.
It about time this council started working for the Worcester public and looking out for our interests.
Stop coming up with hare-brained ideas to line the pockets of the fat cats. It is coming up with so many rules and regulations at the moment it unrealistic. I read the other article about the flyposting on vehicles that the council put the ban on. Don't get me wrong, I agree with this, but then we find that it's a different rule for Worcestershire County Council.
I say it's about time Worcester residents take control of this situation now before it's too late and we all end up paying yet another tax just to drive into our city.
This is not London, Birmingham or Manchester its Worcester. Councillor Prodger ought to get his finger out, stop smiling in front your cameras and trying to make himself good all the time and do something constructive. We have a bunch of muppets running this city -come on Worcester, Fight back"
FRAN SHERIDAN,
Worcester
